Tech Safe Systems Ltd has taken on its first apprentice, Joe Gill. Following Outreach Ltd’s lead, the company has set up an Apprenticeship Framework to help young people in the local area develop their skills base and get into employment.
Joe’s apprenticeship officially started on 03 September 2015 and focuses on Fabrication and Welding. He will be with the company for four years before he becomes qualified. He stated: “I’m very happy to be a part of Tech Safe as an apprentice. I’m being taught a lot on how to become a highly skilled fabricator and welder”.
Tech Safe Systems Ltd continues to work towards its Social Mission: “to offer excellent opportunities for local people through employment, training and graduate schemes: to work with and offer the ‘Best of British’”.
In order to so the company aim to employ two more apprentices in the coming months with a view to taking on a mechanical fitter and electrical apprentice. It also has been working with schools and colleges in the area to highlight the benefits of apprenticeships through providing work experience weeks. They hope to have a wider impact on sustaining the local youth’s skills and contribute towards creating fair, practical and constructive employment.
This comes after Outreach Ltd were awarded August Youth Employer of the Month by Skills Development Scotland. The company now have 10 per cent of their workforce made up of Modern Apprentices. For more information follow the link below:
