This space efficient cabin & launch system is designed to provide facilities for personnel to operate ROVs (Remotely Operated Vehicle) and survey sensors in a safe, comfortable environment. It provides power and instrumentation for the ROV, the TMS, deck pack and other ancillary functions.
The Launch section houses the ROV, its launch Jib and Umbilical lifting winch. The ROV can be launched / recovered and operated from the cabin mounted launch assembly, or the winch may be used separately.
Saab Seaeye Falcon and Sub-Atlantic Navajo ROVs can be simply launched by an integral crane (not shown), whereas larger vehicles can utilise the vessels crane.
The optional ratings of A60, Zone II permits these operations to continue in a hazardous or potentially hazardous area such as a drilling rig or production platform.
